Navigator Business Solutions
Feb 8: SAP Spotlight
Bringing Businesses What They Need to Succeed in any Economy
"The good part about a tough economy is that people re-think how they're currently doing business - to get it right," observes Grant Fraser, president and CEO of Navigator Business Solutions, headquartered in Pleasant Grove, UT. And he sees SAP Business One 8.8 as a key way this solution provider can help small and midsize enterprises get it right.
Grant explained that he re-thought Navigator's own business model in 2005, deciding to focus exclusively on SAP Business One. The company has had an amazing history, helping over 1,000 customers improve business performance and revenue growth over the past 14 years. With over 20% organic growth over the past year, despite facing one of the most difficult economies on record, it's easy to see that Navigator is correctly charting its course.
Partner completes Three (3) Implementations of New Release, Quickly Begins 24 More
Navigator is well-known and has been recognized for its ability to apply an effective combination of best-business practices, consulting, project management, leading-edge software, custom development, and technology expertise, as well as a proven implementation methodology. Fraser estimated that about two-thirds of Navigator's business comes from new accounts, while the remainder stems from existing customers. Navigator has already completed three (3) implementations of the new release and has 24 more in progress.
"Release 8.8 appeals to both current and prospective clients,"Grant said. "Those who are on a previous version of SAP Business One have so much to gain by upgrading, including greatly improved performance and better overall data management. The fresh new graphical user interface combines with many other features and functions that make it the best all-around solution for small and midsize businesses."
Delivering Where It Counts
Grant points to seamlessly embedded Crystal Reports as one of the unique advantages that differentiate SAP Business One 8.8 from competitors. "The new release includes enhanced functionality such as "Available to Promise" and "Unit of Measure" options that end users have requested, but the reporting capabilities are "incomparable," according to Grant.
"Many businesses are just concerned about getting accurate reporting." he added. "Crystal Reports gives them the basics as well as a platform for increasingly sophisticated information access an analysis."
Navigator's experience with SAP Business One includes moving more than 30 customers from the 2005 version to 2007 with very positive result. "Release 8.8 builds on the significant improvements that the 2007 version introduced," Grant commented. "I feel confident reassuring all SAP partners that SAP Business One 8.8 is solid and ready to go. I'm also confident we'll acheive our growth objectives with a product of this caliber leading the way."
Grant said that navigator can typically get upgrade customers up and running of SAP business One 8.8 within one day and users trained by the end of the second day. "It all depends on the complexity of add-on products and other aspects of the customer's data structure, but the install upgrade process in generally very efficient and smooth," he said.
Most importantly, Grant pointed out, "you don't want to delay getting your customers the advantages of SAP business One. "Even if the target customer isn't growing, they're likely to save a lot of money by going with it now. The improved productivity and management tools make SAP Business One Release 8.8 a wise choice regardless of the economic environment."
